Chic Furnishings Ltd reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice to you and any changes will take effect on the day they are posted. Any such changes will be posted on this section of the website and your continued use of the website constitutes your agreement to be bound by the prevailing Terms and Conditions. You will be requested to read and accept these Terms and Conditions every time you place an order. For this reason, we encourage you to review them whenever you use this website to ensure that you are familiar with the latest Terms and Conditions. Our Service
In order to be eligible to enter into a contract with us to purchase goods through the website you must:-
Provide the required information including your real name, payment details including your card address, your delivery address if different from your card address, email address and telephone number.
Be over the age of 18
Orders from customers not resident in the UK and Ireland will be required to facilitate shipping with insurance as we cannot accept liability for problems discovered after goods have left the UK.
Our contact between you and us
After you have submitted your order you are offering to buy those goods from us. We will send you an order acknowledgement email shortly after you place your order. Please note that this email is an acknowledgement and not acceptance of your order. You should note that.
We are not obliged to accept your order and
No contract exists between us for those goods at this stage.
We reserve the right to decline all or part of any order for any reason. This might be because for example, the goods are not in stock or are no longer available or because of a pricing error on the website. If we decline all or part of your order we will contact you with additional information and will not process your order. We will refund the full amount of your payment if you do not wish to order alternative goods from us or in the case of pricing error, order the goods at the correct price.
If we cancel your order we will notify you by email and will refund to you any sum paid by you to us in respect of the contract as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of the cancellation of your order.
It is recommended that you retain all emails relating to your order. The details of your order are filed by us. Should you want any information regarding your order you may contact us.

Please note that when products are ordered at different times we cannot guarantee colour matching due to variations between batches. Changes to any order may cause delay with your delivery time and may alter the price you have been quoted.
If we display an inaccurate price which could reasonably have been recognised as a pricing error, we do not have to provide the goods to you at the incorrect price if the pricing error is obviously and reasonably have been recognised as a pricing error, even if the contract has been concluded.
Consumer Rights
Whatever the reason, you can cancel your online order at any time prior to the goods being handled to our couriers for delivery, with no charges. All you need to do is advise us in writing to sales@chicfurnishings.co.uk . Once we have confirmed we have received your cancellation pre delivery, you will receive a full refund to the original payment method using to pay for your order.
We have a right to cancel an order at any time prior to delivery.
Refunds made to a credit or debit card or via paypal may not be shown in your account straightaway due to the clearing time required by banks to process the refund. Typically, this can take up to seven working days, but varies depending on the bank. Please contact your card issuer or bank directly with any queries.
Deliveries
We normally estimate delivery of products between 1 to 3 weeks for products which are in stock. Please note all projected delivery times are estimates.
Your order acknowledgement will contain estimated dispatch and delivery dates for those products.
We will deliver the goods you have ordered to the address given to us for delivery at the time you place your order.
To make sure you are completely satisfied with your furniture we will ask you to sign for your furniture after it has been delivered and checked by you and you accept the goods. Except in obvious cases of error on our part or where you have indicated damage on the Proof of Delivery note, we will not be liable for damage reported for goods after you have signed the Proof of Delivery form.
If you intend to send the products onwards after delivery by us, you and your representative must check that there is no problems with the goods before they are shipped. We are not held liable for any problems with the products after you or your representative have signed Proof of Delivery note.
If you order products for delivery outside the UK, we strongly recommend you ensure your chosen courier has adequate insurance to cover the costs of your goods in transit. We cannot be held liable for any problems that are incurred once goods have been shipped overseas. If we are arranging international shipping on your behalf, we can facilitate the arranging of insurance.
Risk
The products will be at your risk from the time of delivery and when you have signed the Proof of Delivery.
Ownership of the goods will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums in respect of the goods. Including delivery charge.
Confidentiality
All confidential information, including credit card details are held securely and only transmitted in encrypted form. Customer details are not passed to third parties and are used only in accordance with the Date Protection Act. We store your personal date on a secure server behind a firewall.
Conformity of Goods
We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of going to press. Measurements are to the nearest 10 mm and the measurements are taken at the widest/largest point on the goods. Please bear in mind handmade furniture is handmade and not every piece will be identical, these can differ in size and colour.
It is your responsibility to ensure easy access to the room of your choice. Before placing an order, please measure carefully to ensure that your furniture will fit into the room it is intended for and that it will also fit through any passages, access gates, stairwells, landings and internal doors or outer doors. Prior to your delivery, please ensure the route is clear and free from obstructions such as pictures and ornaments.
Price and Payment
All our prices include VAT but exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due as calculated in our sites shopping basket.
Payment for all products must be made by credit card, debit card or paypal. We accept payment by all major credit cards except American Express. Full payment is made in sterling when you place your order.
A maximum of one discount code can be applied per order.
Refunds and Damages
If the contract is cancelled before we send you a delivery confirmation you will receive a refund in full, including delivery charges.
Every effort will be made to ensure that the goods you have ordered arrive undamaged and without defect. However, if the goods are found to be either damaged or defective in anyway at the time of delivery, you have the right to the following options.
Reject of Goods
You will be asked to complete an incident report form immediately, which will be provided by the home delivery company.
The incident report form will then be returned to Chic Furnishings. It will be logged against your order number and refund or replacement will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of cancellation being accepted.
If we agree to a return, goods must be returned within 14 days. After this time, they will not be returnable and your rights to be refunded will be forfeited.
Please note we will examine the returned goods upon return to check its condition. Where we reasonably believe a defect was caused by your courier (if you have chosen to return goods with your choice of courier instead of booking a collection from our courier), this may affect the amount of your refund.
If your original order was eligible for a promotion such as a free delivery or 10% off and you choose to return goods so that the terms of the promotion are no longer being met, you will become liable for the full value of the goods and delivery cost. For example, a delivery charge will become payable if the final value of goods sold after refunds goes below the free delivery threshold of £1000.00
We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
Import Duty and Local Laws
If you order goods from our site for delivery outside the UK, they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.
Please also note that you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the goods are destined. We will not be liable for any breach by you of any such laws.
Where products are eligible for VAT refund, we will reimburse the VAT element of the transaction but not any VAT on delivery or other charges. We charge a £20.00 fee per order for processing VAT refunds. If we need to make an international bank transfer to process your VAT refund, there will be an additional £20.00 charged to cover bank fees.
Events outside our control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (unforeseen event). An unforeseen event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following – Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation of war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic, pandemic or other natural disaster, impossibility of the use of railway, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport, impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications network, and the acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.
Our performance under any contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the unforeseen event continues and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the unforeseen event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the contract may be performed despite the unforeseen event.
